Mountaineer mystery
I simply do not know how this could happen: MTR Gaming third-quarter net income slips.
The article at Thoroughbred Times reveals that revenues from Mountaineer were down about $2 million.
Since I became a regular visitor to Mountaineer during the third quarter, I'm truly puzzled by this. Surely there should have been an increase during my extended (and on-going) learning period!
What surprises me most is that during the third quarter, Mountaineer hosted a seemly successful West Virginia Derby -- and was home to the terrific 5 race winning-streak of Lady Grace.
Just my 2 cents, but I don't think it's all the horses' fault.

Since Lady Grace's sire, With Approval, moved to England to stand at Lanwades Stud in Newmarket, the Stallion Register link for Lady Grace no longer works. Sorry!
